Summer Reading at the Marcellus Library

Marcellus Library has re-imagined teen summer programing  this year. A committee of librarians from Onondaga County branch libraries have developed a new teen program , “Make Your Summer”  awards badges for reading and other activities. (This incorporates the current trend of gaining badges in gaming). Some of the badges already awarded at Marcellus are: travel, poetry, Glogster, and creative arts. Excited teens have suggested lots of other badges, including the “Badge Badge” for teens who have earned all the badges in the program. There is also a badge for reading War and Peace which a few teens have attempted but abandoned! Check out http://tinyurl.com/makeursummer to find out more about our program.
