Summer Reading: Book Clubs + Graphic Novels – Professional Development

Would you like to learn more about leading summer reading book clubs for kids and teens? Would you like to find out how to use graphic fiction and nonfiction in your book groups?

This summer, the New York State Library and the New York Council for the Humanities are partnering to offer free training webinars on leading book clubs for children and teens!

In these one-hour webinars, you’ll learn how to:

  • Pick the right books.
  • Ask good questions.
  • Keep the conversation going.

All you need to participate is a computer with internet access and a phone. Click the date(s) below to sign up now!

1) Summer Reading Book Clubs

Friday, June 7 @ 1:00-2:00 PM

Thursday, June 13 @ 1:00-2:00 PM

2) Graphic Fiction and Nonfiction

Tuesday, June 18 @ 1:00-2:00 PM

Participants will receive one hour of Professional Development credit from the New York Council for the Humanities, a partner of the New York State Library.
